Spaced Recall
Terms of Use
These are the terms for using Spaced Recall on iPhone and on the web. They are short on purpose. Last updated 28 September 2026.
The service
Spaced Recall is made by Steven Denchev, an independent developer in the United Kingdom. The app is free. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
Your account
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Keep your password to yourself and tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app.
Your content
The facts you add are yours. You give us permission to store and display them only so the app can work for you, and for the people you choose to share them with.
No tolerance for abuse
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. In messages, usernames, profiles, stories, groups and shared facts you must not post anything that is:
- harassing, bullying, threatening or hateful towards anyone, including slurs;
- sexually explicit, or violent in a way meant to shock;
- spam, a scam, or an attempt to get someone's password or money;
- illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights.
You can report anyone from their chat or their profile, and block them so they can no longer contact you. Every report is read by a person within 24 hours. We will remove content that breaks these rules and close the accounts of people who post it, without warning where the content is serious.
Tips
Tips are voluntary and do not unlock any features: the whole app is free either way. A tip gives you a supporter badge as a thank you. One-off tips are not refundable except where the law says otherwise. The monthly Rainbow tip renews each month until you cancel it: on the web with Manage or cancel Rainbow in the Tip jar, and in the App Store from your iPhone's Settings, under your name, Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next payment and the badge goes back to your best one-off tip.
If you tip through the App Store, Apple's own terms (the Standard End User Licence Agreement) also apply, and Apple handles payment and refunds.
Merch
The merch shop sells at cost. Each item is printed or embroidered to order by our print partner, Printify, which usually takes 2 to 7 working days before it is posted, and delivery time then depends on where you are. You get an email with tracking when it ships. For now we deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only.
If an item arrives damaged, faulty or printed wrongly, email [email protected] with a photo within 30 days of delivery and we will replace it or refund you in full. You can also change your mind: tell us within 14 days of delivery, send the item back unworn and unused at your own cost (we will say where), and we will refund the price and the original delivery charge within 14 days of getting it back. Your other rights under UK consumer law are not affected.
The app as it is
We work hard to keep Spaced Recall reliable, but it is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. Export your facts from Your data if losing them would matter to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will say so in the app first. You can stop using Spaced Recall and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
